Letter from the Director of Education, Sasha DeMarino

As we face some cold and icy days here in New England, we would like to bring some warmth to our friends in the arts with some gentle reminders and an exciting contest!

We will be accepting submissions for the available seats on the board through the end of December. This is a diversified board of highly qualified artists, teachers and chemists who provide valuable testing and feedback for the development of product, and marketing tools.

If you are interested in volunteering for one of these positions, please send a resume and letter of intent to education@chartpak.com with the subject line 'CAB Entry'. Any questions or inquiries about the board can also be sent to education@chartpak.com

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please fill out this survey between now and January 31st and receive an indispensable, laminated oil mediums chart for your studio that details the use, benefits and features of all our oil mediums. Charts will ship out the first week of February to survey participants; supplies are limited to one per customer.

We are looking for your favorite and most unique techniques! Let us know some of your favorite ways to use our products, and win goodies! Each submission will be judged for usefulness, uniqueness, and the largest factor, 'why didn't we think of that!?!'. We will be selecting one winner for three different categories. Each winner will receive $250 of FREE product and be featured on our new website. All levels of artistic ability, student to professional, are welcome. Contest details are below:

All qualified submissions will be listed on our new website in Spring 2009.

Submissions are due no later than January 31st. Winners will be announced February 15th. Judges will be the 2009 Chartpak Advisory Board.

If you are interested in hosting a Grumbacher workshop at your own personal studio or a local art association or school, please contact the Education Department at 800-629-1910, ext 257. We are looking for talented and energetic instructors who enjoy Grumbacher products, and want to share the good word!

If you are not already registered as an artist with us, please be prepared to email a resume, three examples of your art work and a bio picture to education@chartpak.com.
